My Wife and I are planning to head north from Florida on or about May 16. We are planning to spend a few days in Lancaster, PA area, North Scituate, RI where I was born, and Freeport, Maine. Then we will head into New Brunswick, Canada. We plan to tour New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia from approximately June 1st until June 26th. Then we will head back through Maine and into Lancaster, NH until after the 4th of July. Our next move will be to a campground on Wellsley Island, NY in the St. Lawrence seaway. When we leave there we will cross into Ontario, Canada and travel southwest camping along the way and reentering the US at Detroit, MI. We also plan to visit Illinois, Wisconson and Minnesota. Then we will head south through Iowa and Missouri to Branson. We are members of a very nice campground there and we will spent 21 nights there at $1.00 a night. I haven't finished planning the rest of the trip yet, but this will take us up to at least August 8th.

Wish us luck!

Your itinerary sounds like it will be fun and $1.00 per night camping sounds great. Which camping club or campground do you belong to?

Hi Bob, sounds like a great trip. You may just be able to match the timing of the "Retro Rally", this year's Ontario Bolerama for fibergalss trailers. It is not too far north of Lake Ontario at Emily Provincial Park near Peterborough. The dates are July 6, 7, 8

Here is are links to information on the Retro Rally

All fiberglass trailers are welcome, had over 100 for the last 2 or 3 years!

A major point of interest to add to your Nova Scotia agenda is Fortress of Louisbourg

Couple of campgrounds we have stayed at are the town park in Dartmouth, which is reasonably handy for touring the old Halifax harbour area and the Ovens Campground is handy for touring the area around Mahone Bay and Lunenburg, home of the Bluenose.

You could give yourself a whole summer to tour the area and never run out of things to see! The examples above are just Nova Scotia, If you get to PEI you need to check out Anne of Green Gables and the famous lobster supper at the St Annes Church

Have a great trip!!!
