This Canada Casitaland forum needed a fresh, new post! ;)

We bought our new-to-us SD in Texas last spring after selling an old 31ft Airstream that we couldn't tow. We tested it out WREN for a month in the Texas Hill Country, and brought her home to Ontario for the summer, covering her with a Calmark cover. We've done our mods: rack and box on the rear holding the generator; extended tongue so we can open our rear van hatch; Southern Comfort mattress; taking out some things that the previous owner found important; and decorating of course.

Now we're on the road south, intending to spend 5 1/2 months in warmer weather. We'll be on the east coast down to the Florida Panhandle until Christmas, then head over to the Texas Rio Grande Valley and finally out to Arizona.

So far, it's been a challenge...adjusting to a tiny space, getting used to the hitch-up and set-up routines, little problems to work out, and now bad colds, and a dreadful campground near New Bern, NC. We haven't found warm weather yet but we'll keep moving south in hopes of nice weather.

Any other Canadians heading south this winter? What are your plans?
