I bought the gutter material from Camping world.  It's about 1/2 high and has adhesive on the back.  I ran it from the center awning brace to about 8 inches past the end of the awning on either end.    It has a very slight slope to it so that it drains.  I caulked the spaces between it and the awning. Caulked around the center brace.    It works very well, no drips come from under the awning .  We are dry in a rainstorm.
