Hi Eileen,
With a name like "Arizona Eileen" I just had to look at your site. Absolutely fantastic photography!!! I've received over 30 responses to the solar power post and I should have it finished by this weekend. I am writing the "how to" article as if the reader knew absolutely nothing about solar power, wiring, etc. Since you are obviously "well spoken", does this make sense to you? Many 'how to" articles I've read slip into jargon and assumptions rather quickly, leaving me trying to figure out what a "right-handed #8 waggle bolt" is and what tools do I need to install it.
Thanks in advance for your input.

Hi Rich --

Wow, thanks for the compliments! Unexpected...and very much appreciated. I assume you were
speaking of my photos on Webshots. (The photos of the National Parks on my Travel page were
shot by Q.T. Loung and they are absolutely stunnning.)

What format/software program are you using to put your solar information together?

Yes, writing your instructions should be akin to "Solar Power for Dummies."

I've developed a style of writing that I call "bullet point formatting" -- simple, easy-to-understand
instructions. It was borne of my poor attention span and inability to read through long-winded text
to get to the crux of the information.

I'm a designer and publisher (web and print), so if you need any help with formatting, editing,
typesetting or photo resizing/enhancement, let me know. I'll be glad to do a 'read through' for you
before you publish. Always nice to have a second (or even third) pair of eyes.

Eileen

Yes. Bill has been doing research for several months now on installing a solar panel. He is almost done with his current projects and ready to start his next big project on the Casita. Can't wait for your instructions.

I've received quite a few questions about solar power. I would be glad to do a detailed "How to" if there is enough interests. This would assume the reader knows nothing about solar power, and would be a detailed piece with pics, several different options, batteries, and COST. I've been solar-powered for 8 or 9 years, made lots of mistakes, and learned a lot by trial and error and not reading directions. Just send me a note with "Yes" in the subject line.

After I do the "how to", if anyone has questions about their particular situation, I would be glad to address these as well. Anyone interested?
Tnx!

Rich,

We've been hemming and hawing about going solar for a while and have just about decided to go for it. A long trip coming up this summer with many days boondocking should give us a test. Really looking forward to your Solar Primer.
