Hi there,

we are trying to find a campground near enough to Chicago to drive into town for dinner with friends one night. We have driven through Chicago before, but we cannot just park the Casita if it is really, really hot. Need power for air conditioning if we leave cats in trailer.

Have never been there but my 2000 copy of The RVer's Friend [www.truckstops.com] shows 2 possible stops with hookups nearby.  They are: Plainfield IL I-55 Exit 257 [US30] 815-436-3210 & Bolingbrook IL I-55 Exit 267 [IL53] 630-739-7006 .  Good luck !

We have camped there when desperate to go SOMEWHERE.
It not too bad.

Haven't looked at the Casita Directory, but are there any Hosts in that area?

We stayed at Indiana Dunes IN while visting Chicago Great park and 5 min to the train Train was 45 min into the city

Located in Utica IL 61373 and can provide 110vf & sewer at NO COST^ as this is what it should be!!!!
Live just off imterstat 80 & 39 so easy to find!
I have over 3/and 1/2 acres so you ban psrk anywhere as you desire!
Can provide sewer hookup and fresh water supply!

Nice quite clean local forest preserve camp ground just minutes off interstate 90 (NW of Chicago - Randall rd exit) 30 to 60 min. to downtown Chicago or the rest of suburbs then continue on interstate 90 to SD
