ph34r.gif I know there are several Scamp owners who are members of the Casita Club as I am: There isn't much room in the wheel wells, with they take a little wider tire?
175 vs 185

New Tire Width: 7.0 7.2

OutSide Diamater 24.0 24.7

Triad Width 4.9 5.2

Static Load Radus 10.6 10.8

They seem small differences but it is a tight fit where the wheels run.

I am after these: Max Load 1360 vs 1480 and Revs per mile 870 vs 851

It would be nice to see what they look like but the dealers will have to order the 185's, none in stock.

We are in Minot, ND and one of the Stock ST175/80R13 Good Year Marathon's developed a tread seperation with a bubble on the side and the tread shefted toward the bubble.

I'll have to be getting something soon. Scamp Factor said can not put 14" wheels without major work and not sure of the ST185/80R13. But to measure, I have measured but not sure, maybe 1 3/4" room at closest point of the "fender" or side of the egg's body where the wheel well is cut out. Not much room for sure.

I have read a lot if not all the topics found on this site about Good Year tires, but Scamp told he would put Good Year's back on, that he had not heard of trouble with them?

Kumo seems not to make 13" tires, not too many do it seems.

My main if not only concern now is getting one order soon and could I go the ST185/80R13's.

Thanks Casita Club!

My Scamp 5th whl came from the factory with Transmaster 185/80R13 1480lb C Tires. Transmaster's is considered a better tire but made in China and presently hard to get in the 185's. Lots of room in the wheel-well for this size.

DesertHawk - at the risk of starting a fire storm of anguished outcries ...

Since you have a single axle trailer and the 'normal' sidewall flex requirements of multiple axle units do not apply, why do you feel the need for ST tires? You can get a stronger tire in the LT and small truck commerical catagories that will work very well.

Let the comments commence...Don
