Custom Curtains:
Making custom Casita Curtains. my material or yours. With a curtain order you get: Curtains, door window cover, table cloth, stove top cover, wall pouch, pillow sham which can be used for extra towels or blanket or of course a pillow. Curtains arrive ready to put up with no permanent attachments. Curtains roll up so you have full window view when up. All curtains are made to extend beyond the window so you have complete privacy. Samples sent upon request.

Sunshade, side shade and back shade and matching groundcover:
Now there is a back sunshade to go along with your side sunshade. It can be used for the back or for the front depending on the sun, wind or rain direction. Do a search for more reviews of this product.

I just finished installing the curtains that Susan made for 17' SD and they look great. I cannot believe the attention to detail that she puts into her products (I also have the sun shade and ground cloth). In addition to being an expert with her sewing, she included everything I would need to install the curtains which included curtain rods, nylon ties, clips to secure the curtains to the walls, valcro, suction cups and printed instructions. The curtains are very functional, as they roll up out of the way when you want light and roll down for privacy and insulation.

Hi Susan,
We recently bought a Casita and are looking for a mattress to replace the bench cushions that came with the trailer.  Can we buy a custom mattress directly from Southern Mattress?  Do you know how much they cost?

Hello Hummingbird: Congratulations on your Casita, lots of great memories ahead of you. The mattress they make is wonderful and of very high quality. However I am not involved with Southern Mattress in any way. They are simply located in the same town we live in and we have been doing business with them for many years. When our boys were young and in Boy Scouts the owners of Southern Mattress  who happen to be the scout masters made tent mattresses for the scouts. That was how we learned abut them and there quality, kindness and involvement in the community. They made our custom mattress for our 01 Casita and when we ordered our 05 back to Southern Mattress we went for another.

The number is 1-800-227-8701 ask for Linda or Ann. They are great to work with and will guide you to the right mattress for your sleeping comfort. As far as price goes I know they had to go up due to the increase in the foam. However they may still have a few from what they made ahead of time and if so they are selling them for the old prices.

Sadly a rumor has been spreading with false information that my sunshade will void the warranty is NOT TRUE .   Unfortunately whomever chose to start such a rumor has done it out of revenge and malice and has not been speaking the truth. This person, he/ she does not even have an awning thus does not own a sunshade so they are not even speaking from experience.  After speaking with Casita Enterprises and representatives from the awning company neither of them know anything about this issue. Both companies have confirmed that they had not been contacted regarding this from anyone.  Both the awning company and Casita  said that the warranty is not voided with the use of the sunshade. The sunshade is NOT permanent so it does NOT void any warranty.

I would rather address this issue first hand rather than have someone with hate in their heart and nothing better to do with their  lives spread  dishonest rumors and  try to hurt another person with such false information.

You may PM me if you have any questions and I can give you the names of people I spoke with to confirm that the statments to deceive this matter can be answered.

I wish to thanks all the wonderful Casita owners and friends for the support and kindness you have shown us this past year. I have enjoyed making the sunshades and curtains for each of you and value your trust in my products and the workmanship I send out to each of you to enjoy. It has been truly a pleasure to work with each of you and to custom design each item to what best fits your needs. My projects still remain as a hobby for me and it has given me great pleasure to be able to stay busy serving others.

Thank you everyone for trusting in me and in believing in the items I clearly enjoy making for you. Staying busy with my sewing and giving to others has been the most wonderful gift anyone could have given to me.
