I’ve used WiFi repeaters here at home. The can be effective but do rob you of bandwidth. Use in a public campground could be a problem. You normally don’t have the configuration settings and passwords.
Now comes to mind cell phone boosters. Those are similar to repeaters and can be easier to use. The cost can be prohibitive though.
Do a google for Wilson cell phone boosters

I carry a Ubiquiti NanoStation 2 as a WiFi repeater. Here is a YouTube video by an RVer that put together a system for under $100.00. I have connected to a Loves gas station a mile from my trailer with this system. This system works well, but does take some hands on to get it up & running. The video does a good step by step tutorial. That said, I rarely use it. I carry both an AT&T & a Verizon jetpack (Cell Modem) and it is rare that I don't have a usable connection with one or the other. Campground WiFi is a last resort, usually overloaded.
I probably depend on access to the internet more than most - I post a daily journal while traveling, often heavily populated with photographs.
