Seems that things are back to normal, although this print seems to come from an old typewrite ribbon. I'll try to post a picture. Colors at entrance to an RV park in Benson, AZ.

Nope, adding as picture didn't work for me either.

I had emailed Eric Oct 7th at 7:30 am, below is his response

"Hi!

Thanks for the heads-up, but we are in the middle of a last minute server move.  I'm hoping to have it up by this evening, or tomorrow at the latest!

Thanks again!

Eric"

I have been a member for years ( many) and have never seen no Casitas or other items for sale.
What is happening to this forum?

Alva,
I havent been on here long, but it seems not many conversations go on here. I try to post things, but I either post things that nobody wants to talk about or carry on any conversations; no matter how big or small. :(
I am just trying to get some life going on in here.

If I can't improve upon the silence, I simply enjoy the silence. The thing I like best about the CC site is the solid advice without so much of the silliness that comes with procuring it. Some sites have so many people on them that you have to wade through 40-60 responses (most of them bad) to glean a nugget of information from it. This site provides a good answer within three or less posts. I am still working, so I don't have a lot of time for silliness.

Folks.....

Not certain as to "why?", but to me, it appears the last two years have seen a major reduction in posts.  Although I'm not really a repeat participant in lengthy conversations, it does seem to me that something has begun to go missing here.  Perhaps Eric has a better handle on this and.....will share it?

It may be a case of timing, too. I don't remember when but it wasn't more than a month ago that there were half a dozen Casitas for sale on this website.

THey've all been bought, or taken off the market, but right now, everyone is either getting ready for winter, or the holidays, or whatever.

As for the lack of participation, recall, also, that I bet my lunch the vast majority of people who post on this website, or camp in general, are..well, old. Like me. We are retirees, who, in many cases, finally have the time to do things like...camp during school season, or noodle around on a website like this one.

We do a lot of volunteering, mostly outdoor activities...restoring environmental areas, creating habitats for animals,  etc. We will see high school kids come out to help, once in a great while, (because in WA state, a high school student must donate 8 hours of public service in order to graduate), but the middle tier...people in their late 20's to early 40's...are working, and/or raising a family, and they don't really have the time to do things like go camping for extended periods, or afford a big RV, or volunteer every Saturday and TUesday. I know when I was a soldier, I didn't even have the time to go sight seeing when I was in Europe or Asia. Work went from 0600 until, sometimes, 8 PM at night and then you just went home to your quarters to get ready for the next day. By the weekend you were exhausted and still had to shop for groceries , clean house, even just sleep in.

Finally, there's an entire generation of people who DON'T go outside other to get into their cars. They're inside, watching TV or playing video games. I know that's a generalization, but...I can't remember, I really cannot, remember the last time I saw a bunch of kids outside playing games (that weren't 'structured' like soccer or PeeWee t-ball, that sort of thing). When I was a kid, especially in the summer, Mom would send us outside after breakfast and warned us to be home when 'the street lights came on." and we did exactly that.. Thus I spent most summers outdoors, and still prefer being outside than in.

I agree Meadowlark.....times have really changed. When I was a kid....a long time ago.....in summer....we were out of the house by 9am and didn't return till dinner. Whatever house we were at....that mom fed us lunch.  We were at the park....swimming....playing football....in the gym....we were never home.  Today....I love the outdoors.....camping and just being out there.   Today.....dropped two alder trees....next years firewood.  Salmon fishing on Friday.  Always something to do outside.....love it.
