Hello!  I have just purchased a new to me 2015 Casita.  I'll be pulling it with a 2019 Dodge Durango with a first trip coming up.

My husband and I owned a Class A Seabreeze for many years.  He recently passed away, and I sold it because maintenance felt like too much for me, and also because it was a very tight fit for our sideyard, pretty much impossible for anyone but him.

I'm looking forward to returning to our "happy place" campground by the beach.

Welcome to this Casita clan.  You'll find folks here are always ready to share information and/or suggestions.  Your new fiberglass magic carpet can provide many, many opportunities to see and enjoy.

Hope to meet you somewhere down the road.

Welcome Deborah, and please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your husband. No doubt he would be proud of you for striking out on your own. That takes courage and a sense of adventure, but that said, you will rarely be alone. There are many other Casita travelers who stand ready to assist, and a substantial percentage of them are widowed or divorced. They are an inspiration to us all, so join their ranks and Godspeed.

Thank you. I’ve been learning so much from reading this and other forums. Taking my first trip in a couple of weeks, and then there will be beach trips every few weeks after that. Learning all this is keeping me busy in a happy way. Next step is to put together a portable solar panel, because my favorite beach spot has no hookups and I don’t want to feel I have to be super frugal with power. My Casita came to me with a Victron controller, and I’ve ordered the Bluetooth dongle to see if it works. If so, I’ll buy one sort of Renogy solar panel. If not, I’ll buy a set up with a controller.

Thanks for all the good wishes
