not sure but my 13ft PD doesn't have that side dinette. my galley is split so i have stovetop next to bathroom door, sink & furnace next to the stovetop. there is a cabinet below the stove. my power cord rests in there. my wheel well takes up space under the sink. it seems to be in that same area. also, the other side of mine next to door has my fridge, microwave, and storage above and below. the lowest storage area is tiny because it also has the wheel well there. so i am guessing that platform hides your wheel.

when you look from the outside, what is below that platform?

Hi, I have a 16ft with the platform. the only thing we found under the platform was the wheel well there

wasn't anything else that we could see. I don't know about the 17ft.

Hi Smokymtgirl03,

The way we found out what is under the platform was we had to use the electric outlet as a way to get to the nuts that hold the pedestals on so we could have them shortened.

I think if you reconfigured the support beams you might be able to install a small sliding drawer in that space. Its a great idea so I hope you can make it work. You may need to upgrade the top platform to 1 plywood for strength instead of pressboard. Good luck! Im anxious to see your finished product.

Great minds think alike, Toddy.  I plan to put 2x6's in cross-ways to support the deck of the dinette, and then use plywood for the deck.  The old main support ran lengthwise and was made of osb (oriented strand board), and so was the deck. The old deck had a pretty bad bow under one of the chairs.  The cross-ways supports will give me several cubby holes to play with.  I want to put a couple of extra outlets in, one close to the bathroom, and another one on the bench at the "head of the bed".

I am also thinking about steam cleaning it.  The guy I bought it from kind of liked his cigars, and there are several stains that I want to get out.  Anyone had any experience doing it?
