If you're looking for a comment regarding the size of this photo, tentstake, it looks fine on my monitor.
Brrrrrrrrrrr, I don't like the look of the snow, though.......;-)
These are the voyages of the small ship, "Grus Egg".

I was trying to see if a large photo would post. It wouldn't, only a medium size.
But how bout this snow. Winter camping at it's best!

Give us some information about your trip so we get to know you. Where? When? Etc.
We do a hotter than hell camping trip every summer. Usually in July, when in Texas its... hotter than hell. That campout has gotten a 100% better in a Casita than when we camped in tents! Not so bad during the day when we can cool off in the lake, but sleeping in a tent when the low for the night was 90 was miserable.

That was in Algonquin Provincial Park Canada. I am not real big on camping in 100 degree weather. I like it a little cooler than that. But as I get older I find I don't handle the real cold very well as I used to.

Tentstake, Where did you camp in Raton? It's crazy how no matter what our weather across the state, it's always "worse" (i.e., hotter / colder / snowier/ etc.) in Raton.

Nice pictures - but would violate my number one rule for retirement: No More Snow!
Been there, done that. Number two rule: Always Keep a Palm Tree in sight, to guarantee warmer temperatures! Sometimes this does not work. Snow covered palm tree in Mission, TX, during December long time ago.
