Hello,

I am going to look at this 2002 Casita next week.

What is the tan plastic-looking thing right behind the roof ac, that I have outlined in red?

Also, the roof fan housing looks too small to be a fantastic fan. What kind of fan would have come with a 2002?

Thanks,

Greg

That's the old Braund TV antenna that Casita used to offer as an option.. Those that have them affectionately refer to them as the "whale tail"..

The older fantastic fans weren't any higher above the roof than a standard roof vent unless they have an aftermarket vent cover installed..

I replaced the "whale tail" on my 2003 with a third brake lite so we more visible to traffic behind us.

Years ago we owned a 2002 LD.  t had the whale tail antenna.  When folks would ask what is was for, I would tell them it was a spoiler.  It would help hold the back of the casita from floating when I got over 60 mph.
