I recently purchased my first Casita, a 1999 16' Spirit Deluxe... It's definatly a fixer uppper...  I've spent the past few years researching campers and looking for one I could afford.

Historically I've done quite  a bit of tent camping with my son.

I look forward to fixing this camper up as a bonding experience with my children.

My hobbies/interests include traveling, cooking, engineering and software development.

I'm currently looking forward to the Casita's maiden voyage.

Welcome fellow Virginian - We are in the middle of the state and I used to live down that way. Try to make it to the Eggshells in the outerbanks rally in early October - you will have a blast and it is only 2 hr drive for you. Hope to see you there.

Welcome to the Casita family.   I'll second brsedwebt's suggestion to come to Eggshells in the Outer Banks in early October.  Plenty of nice folks with similar units.... a good chance to enjoy oneself, and a great place to pick up ideas!
