We're a retired couple, eagerly awaiting our first travel trailer, a LD17 due June 26! Living in SW Missouri, there are SO many nearby places we want to visit, but also want to take a couple longer trips a year. For those of you familiar with our area, we live 3 miles east of Lamberts Restaurant "Home of the Throwed Rolls" on Route 65 north of Branson. We'd love to meet any Casita travelers passing thru our area!

Trudy, Jim........

Glad to have you with this Casita family...welcome!  Your coming towable magic carpet is just the ticket to open up a whole new world of great experiences.

A suggestion.....take out your calendar and actually mark off dates this year you can indulge the RVing urge.  You'll find it's much easier to get those trips planned and taken if you're fitting possible trips to times & dates you've already committed as available.

Frank

Welcome! You are correct about many great places in MO to camp! We live at Lake of the Ozarks. We love Roaring River, Montauk, and Bennett Spring State parks as well as several COE spots near Branson and the Round Spring area. I bet we run into you somewhere! It is always exciting to see another Casita in the campgrounds! We have taken our little "Eggcetera" on out of state adventures as well and love the ease of towing and set-up. Enjoy!!!

Welcome Trudy and Jim. You're going to really enjoy this little nest.

There are about 92 State parks in MO and many Corp of Engineers camping sites. Down around Branson there are several COE sites that we have stayed in and will again starting next month. If you go down 65 into Arkansas you can stroll across and camp at Bull Shoals. Then follow 160 along the border camping at numerous parks while in route to Mark Twain NF. Johnson Shut-Ins is great. Many more around that area. Almost all lakes in MO have COE camping and they can be very inexpensive.

If you are planning to stop by Little House Customs after you pick up your Casita, come back through Oklahoma and stop over at Robbers Cave State Park on your way home.

You will find so many things to see if you haven't traveled this great land. The National Parks are wonderful.

Good camping.
