Hoping someone can help me with some SD measurements.
I am looking for,
1... Side dinette benchtop to bottom of window.
2... Floor under dinette to bottom of window.

Thank you

Okay, I went out and took these measurements.  I'm sure you understand that your trailer may not be exactly the same. No two Casitas are created equal. You may want to wait until you get yours if what you're doing requires precision measurements.

No. 1 19.5" from top of bench to window frame edge.

No. 2  16 7/8" from floor to top of bench.  No. 1 plus No. 2 = 36.375"

What are you making?

A little note on this. Don't know what you're planning but thought I would point out the the dinette table sits just below the window frame. The table thickness is about 1/2". Also Casita walls are not flat. :D

Make sure you heed Wally's warning. Measurements on any two Casitas will not be the same. In the ball park but not identical.

Trying to see if it is possible to have a hinged board against the wall that can unfold to be a work table, or lay flat to make a wider twin bed than the actual booth width.
Thank you so much for providing me with the measurements.

I will! I am just mustering IF it could be a possibility. But I will surely wait until I actually have my SD before I set this idea in concrete.... ( or shall we say, "fiberglass"?)

I've modified our SD to have 2 permanent twin bed sleeping areas and a permanent small dinette up at all time. on the side dinette take some car in how wide you make the sleeping space so it wound interfere with opening the fridge door or moving around in the isle.

I widened the side sleeping by just a few inches wider that the original factory cushions, 28". For me it is comfortable, even with a small dog in the bed with me.

Your going to have a lot of fun adjusting/tweaking it to you liking.

A lot of what you read will make more sense when you have possession of your Casita

You might try using it several times before you make major changes

Most of us do little tweaks as we camp more and more and some folks change nothing & are very happy

use the search function in the forum to find answers to your questions and if you can't find what you want, just ask. This group is very helpful and fun
