Hello,

I was going through our new (to us) 2015 Spirit Deluxe. In the front closet floor - I see a small hole in the floor.  What is this for?  I think the previous owner did the valve extomy - I am not sure that has anything to do with it.  Is it just a drain hole Just In Case?

Thanks for this forum.

Stuart

That's where the push pull rod for the shower drain use to be before someone installed the Hepvo valve.  The Hepvo valve modification was such a great modification the Casita Factory started installing them instead of the manual valve.  So now you don't have to worry about whether the valve is open or closed and you won't get stuff backing up into your shower if you forget to close the manual valve.  Is it caulked with clear caulking or is it open?  If open you may want to plug it up.  It's perfect size for mice and other small critters.

If they used clear silicone to fill the hole the sunlight will shine through making it look open. Can you stick your finger through the hole?  It is easy to fill the hoe from the bottom. If you can find a plastic plug that fits the hole it would be better.  I like the name you chose for your Casita.

There was gooey stuff in there - it seemed like silicon - but it was still wet?

yuck - I will put a dot from the inside to keep the goo out
