I hope it's OK to post this info here.  This Bald Eagle Cam  is at a nest in Washington, DC at the Arboretum.  This is the first time they have nested there since 1947.  There are 2 brand new chicks, the 2nd just hatched this morning.  I find it very interesting and you can take photos too.  I don't know how to go about taking photos but someone sent me a beautiful picture of the 2 babies being fed (too big to post here).

PS: A correction; This pair of eagles built their first nest there in 2014 and they are the first nesting pair since 1947.

I just made it work for me.

You can spend a lot of time watching for something to happen. Its quite enchanting.

This is how I did it - there must be an easier way.

Make the live view full screen - then use your "PRTSC" key to capture an image.

Paste that into some program (I used 'word') then save that image.

Push the image thru "picresize.com" to shrink it.

There are several nesting bird cams at http://cams.allabout...s.org/all-cams/

I don't have an online nest camera. However, the Barred Owls are nesting in my backyard nest box again this year. Here is a shot of how the three owlets looked 3/12:

Wow, Harold, Great shot!! There is a wildlife rescue and rehab facility near my house. They have several owl species, one of which is a barred. The couple that run it take the various owls (all of whom, for one reason or another, are no longer releasable into the wild (sad to say, most because they've lost wings...or eyes...to *)^%%$$3 with shotguns)) and they take them to schools, and other venues. THey are trying to one, drum up financial support for their non profit rehab work, as well as introduce these amazing creatures to people who in most cases have never and will never see an owl.

anyway, their Barred owl is as friendly as a puppy. He loves to be scritched on the back of the neck. What amazed me most is he remembers people who've given him scritches. It is an amazing feeling when a 'wild' owl recognizes you from months before and comes hopping over, begging for a neck scritch. And humbling....

Here are some videos my GoPro-crazy son found of a mini camera attached to an eagle. A group called Freedom Conservation is trying to bring attention to conservation.
