In the summer of 2014, before we purchased our egg, my fiancé and I took a 10k mile road trip around the country. I filmed the entire thing on a 40-year-old Super 8 camera with a busted light meter.

Just thought I’d share it with fellow vagabonds!

What a great fun family time you had. We took our young kids all over the place. My 28 year old daughter still plans her vacations and flies from Berlin to join us in the Casita.

Thanks everybody.

Clover, I purchased my film as a package deal that included Film, Processing, and telecine from Pro8mm in Burbank, CA. It's super pricy though, as one roll will only give you about 3.5 min of footage.

Kodak is rebooting their super 8 line of film stock which is a similar package to Pro8mm's. They're even releasing a new Super 8 camera.

I guess now that I'm old, much of what I grew up with is not Kool Retro or Nostalgic and coming "back in style". I have noticed some of the photo editing software has options like septia and polaroid. Guess I should of hung on to the old Brownie box camera and Polaroid SX-70.

However, I still don't like tie-dyed t-shirts.

Wow, that looked like fun. I think I recognized several spots: Boundary Waters, MN? The Badlands in SD, Glacier National Park (soon to be known solely as "National Park"), Yellowstone, the Pacific Coast??

Sorry for the super delayed response!

We hit up, Glacier, Devil's Tower, Badlands, Acadia, Columbia River Gorge, ADKs, Yellowstone, Redwoods... man, i'm having a hard time remembering now. Haha.

Since moving into the trailer this past summer we've logged almost 22k miles! More to come.
