Just got back from our first extended trip of seven weeks and 6300 miles. Decided that I needed shelves in front closet - here they are ...

I hope you enjoyed the trip! If you do a search you will see many versions of shelves for the closet but I believe yours is one of the most complete free standing units I can remember seeing. We also decided we needed shelves and since our trips are short ones for now we just bout a fabric piece from Ikea that attached to the rod already there with Velcro and has worked perfect so far for the intended purpose.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah and all the best for 2016.

Curious if you got that through the door opening or pulled the wall out to insert it as an assembly.

Good job.  It looks like you have some space left for a few hangers.  Nice.

One of the best designs I've seen.  You could draw up plans, listing materials and fabrication instructions and make some money.  That design would be great made out of plastic like the products Widget Works makes.  Maybe you could collaborate with them and come up with a kit.  I'd buy one for sure.

This would be an amazing pre-fab you could definitely make a quick dollar I'd be interested in something that can be taken apart and isn't fixed permanent to your trailer.  When I purchased my trailer the previous owners butchered the closet with a lot unnecessary slice and bolting but it wasn't a deal breaker and I was able to fix it BUT something like this would be cool.

Easy to remove, if need be.  2 wood screws in the hanging rod and 2 in to the floor.  I have 9" of hanger space, and that works for me.  It would be easy to make the shelves narrower and increase the hanger space.

Are the shelves and side made of painted masonite?

Everything is plywood - lightweight and easy to work with

Great design. My next project is to add shelves to our Casita.

If templates are available I would be interested in getting a copy. I am in the DFW area so could pick them up,copy them, and return to you. Just let me know.

Thanks

Lyle
