Hi All,

We are Janet and Tim Reilly, from the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  We purchased a 17' Liberty Deluxe Casita in May, and traveled to Rice, Texas to pick it up.  We are both recently retired, sold our house and everything in it,  to hit the road in our new Casita.  We've been on the road since August 20th of this year, and so far, so good.  We are loving it.  In order to keep family and  friends informed of our whereabouts, we statrted a blog (along with millions of others).  Thought you would find this blog of particular interest because most rigs doing what we are doing are huge.  Sometimes we look like a propane tank in a field of monster rigs.  Check us out - maybe you'll find something of interest  And feel free to leave a reply on the blog or here or to ask any questions.

Congratulations on your Casita and retirement.  You are off to a good start.  If you have any questions about Casitas, ask away.  There are plenty of members who are happy to advise.

Happy Camping!

Janet and Tim - Likewise, congratulations.  I like your comparison to a propane tank.  Checked out your blog. Nice pictures and travel blog.  Wtith fourteen years in Seattle (70's and 80') I've crossed over Deception Pass bridge many times as well as sailed under same while living aboard at Shilshole Marina. You've brought back some great memories of a beautiful area.

Happy camping and traveling in your new egg.

Welcome to the growing Casita family.  I spent a few days at the Casita factory in Rice, Texas a couple of weeks ago and met some really nice people. The one and only Casita factory turns out about 700 Casitas a year and they go all over the United States and some to a new Casita market, Japan.  At that rate there are new Casita folks generated all the time.

I viewed your blog and when I have more time I will delve into it.  Keep it up!  You have a flair for the written word.

Thanks to all of you for your words of encouragement.  We're just starting out, but we're having a great time.

nasa42a - Hey fellow Pennsylvanians, we're in Washingon state - where are you?

dutchman - feel so lucky to have made this trek - well worth it!

missourijim - hey - we picked our Casita up in rice also- quite a place - the walk through was so helpful, as we've never camped before, except in a tent.

carol christensen - heard about the fine job you do at the rallys - hope to attend one day.

florida33830- we hope to get to florida when it starts to get too cool for us.  Do you live there full time?

Janet, Tim......

Unlike some (he said semi-enviously), I'm still home-based with intermittent trips with the Casita, and am currently in PA.  But I do get out a fair bit.  My affectionate old cat is 19 with diabetes, and requires 2 insulin shots a day.   I have to make arrangements to cover that at home when I travel, as she is one of the "I loudly resent all travel"  types.  But I am on the road for about a total of 2.5 - 3 months per year.

Hi Floorida 33830 - We've never been to a rally.  Hope to do so in the near future.  Spent some time in Ocracoke in the outer banks.  It is a lovely area.  When /if we get to Florida, we will definitely give you a shout out.  Would love to meet up one of these days.  Oh yes, I like to sew also.  Not clothes, but lots of little crafts projects.  Janet
