I've posted another video for those who are interested.... this one is from Lake Casitas Recreation area near Ojai, CA in Ventura County.  I didn't put prices on this one, since they fluctuate so greatly depending on where/how you camp, but it ranges from $25 for tent camping all the way up to $60 for deluxe lakeview accomodations. That said, the tent camping areas can be a little loud and crowded, even though the area I'm in is nice and quiet.  The weather has been beautiful!

Enjoy!

It has been brought to my attention by fellow Casita traveler that the bird in this video is not a crane but is, in fact, a Blue Heron! I had a feeling I had that wrong... I need to brush up on my birding!

Well, folks... another video is up!  I spent 5 days at the Huck Finn Jubillee bluegrass festival in Ontario, CA and had a great time!  The music was excellent and there were some cool little RVs camping out with me. I talked to a woman who owns a 13' fiberglass Perris Pacer and a guy that owns an 8 year old T@b that broke the world record for land towing speed... 130mph!  There's even a banjo-playing cameo by the one and only Steve Martin!   :)  Enjoy.....

I also recorded a little rundown of my very temporary solar setup that I will put up in the next couple of days!

Cool! Sounds like you had a really great time there. Always fun to watch and see what others are doing too.

No video today... but I'm just sitting here by the fire in a little county park near one of my favorite towns after a long day of work and travel and it's just so nice..... I almost hugged my Casita.

I still just might!

It's true if you ever want to be YouTube popular you need an animal of some sort... I can't imagine (yet) an animal inside my Casita.  The animals inside and the hair is already crazy.

A descented skunk would be good. You'd be assured of having a no-near-neighbors campsite.

:D A thought comes to mind:

How do you approach a skunk to descent it?  :D
