I've spent a few nights at Moro Campground. Great area to explore. Actually back in the day

I patrolled the area including the cottages just up the road.

Campground have a limited supply of full hook up campsites. All sites have an excellent

view of the Pacific. Token operated showers are available.

Matt,  Thanks for clearly stating the names and areas/proximity you are in...would you mind making it clear if its a private or state campground and the cost for a night and or a week stay!  Thanks! ~~~Latte

Hey Latte!  No problem, at all.  Maybe I'll go ahead and add more information like that to the video description as well, so people can refer to it without searching through the vid.  Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks Joe! By the way, I just got this in an email, if you're still thinking about camping at Cryatal Cove....

"Moro Campground is giving 40% off weeknights and 25% off Friday & Saturday nights for camping stay dates between October 26, 2015 and March 18, 2016 when you use the code: SWEETBEACHDEAL"

Thanks Matt,

I just  printed your post out to save in my file.... I may plan it for the week before Quartzsite.

What's the weather like out at Moro in February?____ Is it pretty much like Quartzsite?_____

I grew up on the East coast very near the ocean so i miss seeing it here in Arizona.

If you ever need to Layover in the Phoenix area i know a few dispersed sites in north phoenix I-17 between New River and Black Canon City with some of the best views available of the Black Canyon Area

Thanks for the tip, I'm always passing through that way! I'd say Laguna Beach is cooler than Quartzsite due to the fog and marine layer but Feb is usually just about as nice as most months in SoCal!

I will check out Black Canyon on my next trip through AZ!

I've posted another video for those who are interested.... this one is from Lake Casitas Recreation area near Ojai, CA in Ventura County.  I didn't put prices on this one, since they fluctuate so greatly depending on where/how you camp, but it ranges from $25 for tent camping all the way up to $60 for deluxe lakeview accomodations. That said, the tent camping areas can be a little loud and crowded, even though the area I'm in is nice and quiet.  The weather has been beautiful!

Enjoy!

Matt, please tone it down a little. You are having entirely too much fun.

We (I) need that Solar video!  How's the temp like with such a full sun coverage on the Casita?   So far it's been fun to watch!

I've been camping at Lake Casitas since I was a kid and I always love it. You just gotta watch those tent areas on the weekends! Other than that, it's a very peaceful place with a great staff. And, yeah... that coffee mug has definitely seen it all! :) I will be doing a whole video dedicated to coffee at some point!

Haha its coming, I swear! My solar setup in still a big work in progress but my current method is working well enough.... will try to talk about that in the next vid!

As far as temps go, the Casita has been very comfortable. The pounding sun doesn't heat it up inside too badly with the windows cracked and fans on. It also cools down nicely in the evening.

Thanks for watching, everyone... I appreciate all the support from the great people on this forum!
