Not only did we have warblers singing and elk in the meadow, we had this to wake up to:
This is Mt. Adams. We stayed at Elk Meadows RV Park in Trout Lake, WA. Clean, clean camp, one designed mostly for big RV's and fifth wheels but Grus egg fit in just fine. The managers were on their game big time. I've never seen a better managed, cleaner campground in my life.
This was one of the ''premium'' sites, with the eponymous meadow just feet from our backside. But it was cheek by jowl with other campers. If you want some more privacy, there's lot more sites that are totally screened on both sides, but you don't get this view.
The one problem was, the winds come right off the mountain and they are COLD. But the wind keeps the skeeters at bay, so...........I can tolerate cold.
