After picking up our Casita Jan,we camped our way to Death Valley. We were lucky to get overflow spot to see the London Bridge. This was the reflection of our rear window. Had the windows tinted in Casa Grande Arizona. Cooler inside and no blinds needed during the day, gangster tint...........

Is THAT what the 'green flash' looks like? I've watched hundreds of sunsets, hoping to see the flash, and never have. I thought it would be like a strobe light, or a green laser.

Like you I thought the green flash would be right out of Star Wars. This is the first green flash that appeared out of the hundred of sunsets I photographed over the years.
It probably has something to do with the tinting on the Casita window,or light diffraction. First time green flash?

I dunno, Leehman. Not that I would know, as I've never seen one, but I think you bagged an honest to goodness green flash there. Notice that the other colors of the sunset are 'normal', are what you'd expect in a sunset.

There is a forum called naturephotographers.net that allows members to post photos for critique. It's a very nice forum, like this one, without the typical flame wars  and lurking trolls just waiting to pounce on someone's innocent question.  It is comprised of all sorts of interests, from geological formations and weather to flowers, birds and wildlife.  My husband is a photographer and has learned a ton regarding photography on that forum.

And if your last sentence was whether this was '''my'' first green flash, yes. I've never seen one. Watched hundreds of sunsets without any luck. Just seeing one is noteworthy, your actually photographing it is incredible luck! And thanks, because now I know what to look for!
