Excellent! Such a lovely photograph and well deserving of winning, even against some really tough competition. Many "winners" there, for sure.

Thanks for the votes folks. Outside of a goofy prize at a Christmas party one time, this is the first time I ever won anything! Although some may think that you have to have the best equipment in the world to take a good photo, I'm a firm believer in "the right place at the right time" and always have a camera, no matter what kind it is, with you so you don't miss that great shot. As memory fades, those photos will live on......

Congrats on the beautiful winning shot!

Agree that 'right place right time' is key, but composition is also important.

Congratulations, Possum! You've always had great photos. We seem to have a lot of very talented photographers on this website. It makes it difficult to pick a winner!

by the way, I like your avatar. That bear looks as if he's ordered a pizza and a beer and is just waiting for its delivery!

Excellent image, Possum. As you say, "right time, right place" but being prepared (having that camera with you) and taking the extra effort as you did in going back to get the shot are all part of it.

I love the image.  As to being in the right place at the right time, there is much to that concept, but getting a good photograph of fog takes skill on the part of the photographer as well.   Congratulations.
