Tire Failure - Is It Just Me?

Is it just me or has the number of tire failures significantly decreased?

Perhaps the 15" option by Casita, or the number of people who have given up on ST tires or the quality of ST tires has improved or is it that the prime travel season has just begun?

I have no answer to your question, but the tire issue is much on my mind lately. I am now running 15" ST tires on a HL axle, with a good margin of safety re weight. I am considering putting on the shock kit and going to LT tires and am presently gathering info on such a mod. So far it's looking pretty good. The number of similar mods folks have been making on their trailers may be a factor in the perceived reduction of tire failures. Just a theory...

Another factoid: 15 inch tires spin 7% slower than 14 inch tires running at the same MPH..........could mean less of a heating issue?

Just checked to make sure I was remembering correctly. I was... I'm running 15" Tow-Masters, D-load, each tire rated at 2540 pounds @ 65PSI. They've been good tires, so far, and are 4 years old.
