Brynda and I picked up our new 17' Independence at Huntsville State Park. We had a blast and look forward to doing more weekenders. Thanks to the Casita Club, I was able to puchase most of the stuff we needed to do the first trip right. Thanks for all the info.

Yes, Bigeasytoo, are you from New Orleans? We are Slidellians, although we both work in New Orleans. If you are a Louisiana resident over 62, the state parks honor the Federal Senior Access lifetime pass and give half price discounts on campgrounds.

I lived in New Orleans for over 25 years. I now live in Spring, TX and will hopefully retire in 4-5 years. Brynda is from Palatka, FL and we plan on retiring there. I consider myself from New Orleans as I got out of the Army at Ft. Polk and moved to N.O. for work. I went to school at LSUNO and am a Tiger and Saints fan forever. Hope to see ya'll at a rally. Going to Pineknot on Oct. 2.
