Eileen , I did call the park to find out if each RV site had cable and wifi . When they transferred the call to the RV park I got a answering machine and didn't leave a message . Just because I'm in Texas doesn't really put Lajitas much if any closer , then you are . I might get around to putting My CB back in my truck before heading out there . Cell phone service is bad in a lot of Big Bend . Dave

Simpleman, There are 83 sites that have water, electricity and sewer. 24 sites are water, elect., sewer, and cable hook-ups. Wi-Fi is through out the park. The club house has awesome shower facilities. There is also a pool at the RV Park. Hope this helps. Carmen

Dave, does this mean you may join us? That would be terrific!

Carmen's info is correct. The campsites where we'll be gathering will probably be on the north end of the campground where there are no cable hookups. However, you'll be able to choose a spot wherever you'd like in the park.

The gal I'm working with at Maverick calls me on a cell phone, so I assume there's service.

I am possibly interested. Looks like it is 1000 miles from here so want to research it a little more. I likely won't be coming to Tuscon in October.

I am so envious - what a great place for a rally! The Casita Club Forums are serving as inspiration and motivation to get our restoration underway (and start thinking about a vehicle that can tow the YagaToo once she's roadworthy)!

Since I expect that this is going to turn into a fairly large-sized group (already have 30 Casitas registered), I just want to reiterate that this is an INFORMAL Rally. I want everyone to enjoy themselves without it turning into a lot of work.

Those who've attended my rallies in the past know this is my usual game plan:

** Daytime will be yours to explore, venture, wander, participate (see below), or just hang out.

** Starting Monday and each evening through the week, we'll have Happy Hour (usually around 4:30 pm at a designated place). Bring a chair, a beverage, and maybe a snack to share. Pets welcome.

** At Happy Hour we'll organize folks who wish to go horseback riding, helicopter rides, hiking, biking, 4-wheeling, sightseeing, whatever...with others. (We'll also talk about what folks did that day and can recommend.)

** We'll definitely have a Wine & Beer Tasting at one of the Happy Hours (probably Tuesday). For those of you who imbibe, bring a spirit from your local winery or brewery to share. If you're not a drinker of alcohol, bring a local soda/pop to share.

** Morning coffee will be at my 10x10 tent (location to be determined). Coffee / coffee pot donors welcomed.

As activities are planned, they'll be listed on a whiteboard with the day & time and name of the person(s) in charge. The board will hung in a conspicuous place.

On Monday evening, we'll make a group decision about whether there should be a Pot Luck or if we want to have a gathering at the Resort for a meal. It's also possible we could have a meal catered at the on-site Rec Hall.

Input welcome from those who are registered to attend.

Eileen
