We are about a week away from the kick off of 2013 Southern Utah Tour.

As we begin to converge on Capitol Reef, it is time to create a record of our adventure that others may enjoy reading and allow all of us to record what we see and feel. I encourage our members to add their experiences as we progress.

Sheryl & I have participated in the last two Tours and yet we are wide eyed with anticipation of this year's Tour. With no disrespect to other States, I have been saying for many years, "Arizona has the Grand Canyon, but Utah has the best of the rest". I grew up and spent all but the last six years of my 71 years in New York City. All this red rock just moves my soul.

Hello to Chuck and Cheryl. I know you will have a great time as we did year before last. Would love to do it again and take an extra week to do Eastern Utah.

Thanks Bob and Paul & Terri, Jean "borderbrae" has an excellant blog with fabulous pictures of her journey from Florida to the Southern Utah Tour, the Tour and I'm sure beyond. Go to http://borderbrae.wordpress.com/

The official Tour has ended, but about half of us have journeyed onward to the North Rim of The Grand Canyon.

We wish to thank Wagonmaster's Don and Betsy for a fantastic voyage over and through the beautiful Southern Utah region. Our fellow travelers were a complement to the "National Geographic" scenery of this most wonderful area of our great land. Some of us knew one another from other Rallies and others we met for the first time. Regardless, at the end of our Tour we had become family and members of that small, but priviledged few to have traveled the Southern Utah Tour with Don and Betsy.

Please also remember our fallen on ths day of Memorial.

How was the tour? We just purchased our Casita last September. It's a 2010. We always went to Zion and rented a cabin there. This time around we'd love to head out there with our Casita. Wondering - what is the best time of year to do that? Is spring better than fall? I know sometimes it can get really hot very early in the season in southern Utah. May we ask which places you campsites you visited?

Take the tour of those parks in May or September for the best weather and when the kids are back in school. Summertime is a madhouse and all of the parks are filled with rented motorhomes.
