Hi everyone, I'm very very new at preparing to learn, purchase and explore the world of Casita camping. You all seem to be so helpful and inspirational to each other, sounds like a great group of people. I am finally retired and in a place where my dreams of travel can maybe come true.

Hi Deb -- and welcome to CC!

I suggest you purchase my A-Z Casita Owner's Guide (if you haven't already). LOTS of what you need to know, all in one place and organized by topic. If you're not convinced it'll be the best $30 you've ever spent, take a look at the links under What's Inside the Guide, then read the Testimonials.

Ha ha, that's the same exact thing I needed to learn how to do when I bought my Casita last March: everything! The wisest move I made was signing up for Bluebonnet, which most people call a rally, but I thought of as Casita boot camp. There, I had three or four pleasant days to visit among over a hundred other Casita owners and their rigs who were all there for the express purpose of talking about Casitas. I went in a green noobie, came out a seasoned "eggspurt", and had a fine time doing it even if I'm not the most social person in the world. So that's my suggestion, think about attending a Casita rally ASAP.

Also, I endorse Eileen's A-Z Casita Owner's Guide as a splendid investment.

Thank you, I have just ordered Eileen's Casita's owners guide. So I'm very excited to watch and learn. This is such a new chapter in my life...exciting and a bit frightening at the same time. Ha ha ha.
Again thank you all,

Funstuff --

Nothing you're doing wrong. Casitas sell like hotcakes. Sellers probably aren't responding because their unit has already been sold. You have to jump on an ad the minute it appears and be ready to purchase.

Not that long ago, seeing a Casita was rare. Not anymore. I'm here in Quartzsite AZ for the weekend and there are lots of them all over now.

I'll be sending your Guide out to you tomorrow when I get back home.

We looked and looked and it seemed. like you say, ones in reasonable condition, even several years old,(when you can find them) are usually on the other side of the country and just a couple $K less than "New".

Your right............I never get a reply from the adverts here. I just want a nice clean one for about 10,000. I'm getting really discouraged but maybe someday. I received my dvd and printed up all the wonderful lists you folks made up. What a wonderful helpful group. Hope I find my Casita.......... I've got everything else for 'her'. :(

Did any of the newbies look on fb under Casita's. There is a lady who filmed in 5 or 6 sections of instructions as the Casita rep. explained everything/how to/and what for. Wish we could get that on a dvd. That looked 'really helpful' also. Having a visual is very helpful for people not handy with 'stuff'. But darn it I'm gonna learn. When of course I find my little Casita

I'm very sorry, I meant on 'Youtube' NOT fb. Look under Casita travel trailers and you will see all different little clips. But there is one with a lady going through her instruction/inspection of her New Casita at the factory and she asks many questions. Should help all us 'Newbies'.
