Looking for a quality 12 Volt TV with DVD combo for our Casita SD 17'. Anyone have any recommendations on a TV brand and where to find it? Thanks for your help! Also, there's a lot of references in the Forum regarding the use of an "inverter" to run your 12 Volt accessories. Can someone explain?

I bought a DVD player with a TV tuner. It will charge from 12v & play @ 2.5 - 3 hours or it will play on AC. I am not close to my camper to check, but I think it has about a 9" screen. So far, it has met my needs. I got mine at Walgreens (no kidding) and I think it is a Phillips. HOWEVER: if you google "dvd player tv tuner" you will not only get hits from those for sale but will also get hits to reviews - like Cnet's - on different brands.

I can tell you that a remote helps and that, to me, having volume control on the remote would be very good. (Mine has power & channel control, but not volume. Duh!)

There's one odd thing I've noticed about my unit. It comes with a tiny (about 3" tall) collapsing antenna. This little thing gives me much better reception than either of the bigger, much more effective looking antennas I also own.

I bought a Naxa television. I searched online using that word. It's a standard definition set, but its 12 and 120 volt with a DVD player included. At the time I think it was
around $200. Works fine for me

Was looking for 12vdc televisions last year. I didn't get one, but I remember Love's Truck stops had a selection of televisions with DVD players.

I too search the web sites, ended up with a 15.6 Majestic, 3 year warranty, a little more money, but is salt water and humidity resistent. I wanted something that would hold up and use low energy. Jensen or Audiovox is what I was looking for, but found the Majestic. I prefer adding a portable DVD Player, the Majestic has plug in in the front. I just bought this Saturday and awaiting arrival.

I have a Skyworth 12 volt TV/DVD. very happy. Roadtrucker.com has tons of 12 volt items, even a new 12 volt air conditioner. great service also.
