It may be just me but neither link worked.

I've sailed out of Camden on a windjammer nearly every year since '82. It's a pretty town (be sure to go to Cappy's for chowdah) with a lovely harbor where the windjammers rest over the weekends (there are also a couple day sailors so you can try and see if you like it). The Maine coast is beautiful and the lobsters are dee-lish. A long day trip north will get you to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park (you don't want to miss the view from atop Cadillac Mtn.) There's a campground there too if you want to take an extra day or so up there.

We have at least one member from the area who might have a whole lot more ideas of what to see.

Hi All,

We are booked in at site # 37. The camp ground seems to be full. I hope they are all fiberglass RV's.

This is a rally I'd really like to join. However, when I access the Camden State Park website reservations link, it shows no campsites are available on the posted dates. :(

Trying to add the links again

Camden Hills State Park Maine

https://www1.maine.g...amdenhills.html

North Atlantic Blues, Rockland, Maine

http://www.northatla...esfestival.com/

Sorry the other links didn't work (and I don't know how to edit them in my original message)

You're right - it appears that reservable campsites with hookups are taken (regardless of size). There are numerous sites with no hookups, and some (about 11) with "walk in" availability. It's a nice campground with good sites, and the bath houses are well done; though I understand being hesitant without electricity.

About the "walk ins" - from the looks of the reservations already there, an arrival on the 12th or 11th would maybe be safe. Looks like everyone wants Friday the 13th to start. And now I'm nervous: my site (#52) doesn't show up on any list, filled or available, electric or not :-(

We plan to be in New England this summer. We have many relatives in RI, MA.VT.and NH. (big family) Free camping.Yippi.
Getting a campground in Maine in July is going to be a challenge. We would like to try anyway. may see you there in our Casita.
If you have never had Maine scallops and steamers ,you are so into a treat. The ice cold water makes for the best sea food in the world.
Been there, done that, want to do it again.

Just booked our site at Saltwater Farm Campground in Thomaston, w/arrival on the 12th -15th, only four miles from Fest/Rockland . Wish we could have joined the rally but by the time I attempted all was full accept sites with no hook-ups (not ready for that yet). From now on when I see a post that we can attend, I will jump on it, so maybe the next N.E.Rally.... Maybe sometime on the 13th or 14th we can hook up somehow and get to meet some fellow Casita people. Well thanks and hope to see all there.................Roland and Dot

How many people have signed up thus far?

Hi all. The website site availability info is not always accurate so call the reservation number to reserve a space.
