I am looking for more history on the Texas Bluebonnet Rally. If you guys can add to what I have below it would be great!

2002 Bluebonnet
In 2001, there was a National Casita Rally (all Casita's) at Winding River Colorado, on the West side of Estes Park. After returning from Colorado, Bob Hunt and his wife discussed about how many Casita's there was just in Texas, and they didn't know any of them. They thought it would be a good idea to have a centrally located place to get everyone together. That was Georgetown and April was a good month because that is when the Bluebonnets bloom. Thus, the Texas Bluebonnet Casita Fest was conceived and held at a COE park at Lake Georgetown, Georgetown, TX. There were approximately 26 Casita's and 1 Scamp. The one Scamp just so happened to be the park host.2003 Bluebonnet
The second Bluebonnet Rally was held at Lost Maples State Natural Area. Nick and Marlene(last name?) were the hosts. There were 28 Casita's. However, there would have been more had the park held them. 2004 Bluebonnet
Was held in Kerrville, TX at Guadalupe River RV Resort Park. There were approximately 80 Casita's there. It was hosted by Bob Hunt and his wife, and Norman Biggs and his wife.80 seems to quite a jump from the previous year of 28, can anyone verify this? 2005 Bluebonnet
Was held in Kerrville, TX at Guadalupe River RV Resort Park .
Thanks

2006 Bluebonnet was held in Perrin, TX. About 60 trailers were in attendance. This was the first Bluebonnet Bev and Brad hosted. David and Rachel Funderburk found the Bandara location for the 2007 year.

Blair,
I took the liberty of adding information to the 2001 rally.
Thanks for wanting to get it right.

In 2001, there was a National Casita Rally (all Casita's) at Winding River Colorado, on the West side of Estes Park.

In 2001 there was a National Casita Rally that began at Winding River RV Park near Grand Lake, Colorado. The rally moved from Winding River through Rocky Mountain National Park via Trail Ridge Road to the east side of the park and campers then dispersed to either Moraine Park Campground inside the park, or to Elk Meadow RV resort.

This is an interesting post... I thought the National Casita Rally was in 2001. Was there a second one in 2002?

Blair,
I have never been good with dates and it got me this time. No, there was never a second National Rally, yes the first and last National Rally was in 2002.
Charles Watts was the organizer and was also a great supporter of Casita camping!

Sorry for the confusion.

No confusion Susan I received the information that the National happened in 2001 from another source and then I came up with that link to the post from Eric saying it was in 2002. I'm just trying to get the history correct.
