I dont know of any past events in Coeur D'alene, but we past thru it this last summer on our way to Canyon Ferry Dam, where I used to live as a teenager, and we liked the area (except for the sleezy motel we had to stay in). Depending on the timing, we might combine your event with a visit to Glacier Park.
Why don't you put together a proposal (time, date, length, campground, etc) and post it here to see what interest it generates.

I don't believe there are many Casita owners in your area, so opening it up to all brands of fiberglass trailers might work better.

Hi Mary
We live in Salt Lake City and have driven through your area enought to know it is a beautiful place. Why don't you post your idea and see how many folks are seriously interested and take it from there? It can't hurt. We are committed to two camping events this coming season but are interested in what you have in mind. We prefer events where there is something to do, see or learn. I don't particularly like to tow my trailer someplace and then sit around and look at each other. Just my preference.

Start small and build on success. There have been/are NO bad Rallies.
It can be as simple or as complicated as you want. Frankly, I'm the "queen" of simple.

Depending on the date you choose, I would be interested in coming over from western Washington.

In 2008, the Quartzsite Gathering had 13 trailers (mostly Casitas).
In 2009, there were 33 trailers (mostly Casitas).
In 2010 and 2011, there were around 63 trailers (mostly Casitas).
In 2012, there were 86 trailers (mostly Casitas).
Just goes to show that "If you plan it, they will come." It takes a year or two to build momentum.
@Donna: You're going to have to share that crown. I'm with you when it comes to K.I.S.S. Lots of people don't care about being inundated with a bunch of planned events. They're just happy to get together!
