Sure hope you can make it to PineKnot. But if you can't, we'll understand. I know about the work thing--it caused me to miss the first day last year. This year should be different because I hope to be quasi-retired by then and be able to do what I want to!

Hi,

Want to say HOWDY to all the Casita owners on here. Sandi and I got our 17' FD Casita in January and have been enjoying it immensely!

I missed the Bluebonnet Rally. However, we are signed up for the Pine Knott Rally. Hope to meet you there. Since there are so many Casitas in North Texas, it would be nice if someone would organize a rally in the DFW area. I would suggest the Tres Rios campground at Glen Rose.

So far this year, we have travelled with your Casita to Shreveport, LA, Hot Springs, AR, and San Antonio. We will be going to Memphis/Graceland for the 30th Anniversary Elvis Week in Memphis in mid-August. Then in September we plan to go to the Grand Teton NP and Yellowstone NP.

Hope to meet many of you at the Pine Knott!

Hasta la vista!

JG

Go to the Main Forums and look in the Casita Get-Together Forum - you will find PineKnot as well as many other 'gatherings'

I am from Liberty Hill (just North of Austin) and plan my first trip with my new Casita next week out to Big Bend National Park. Has anyone been there? Any advice? I plan to spend about a week on vacation.

Hi, Mayflow:
I am also taking my Casita to Big Bend Park, from Nov. 17-14, and so is another Casitan in our group.
Will we see you there then?
I like to go to BBNP every year, but missed '07. I guess you have reservations? If you have specific questions, you can check out their website. I have about 40 favorite spots and hikes in the Park and nearby, and no time to list them all.
Advice? Hat, sunscreen, layers of clothing, be ready for temps from freezing to 90º! Have fun!
