The Casita "Cub" Page

I would like to introduce you to our new, Offical Casita Club travelling mascot, Casita"Cub" !! He will be travelling around the country visiting Casita Club members, going with them on trips and spending a bit of time with anyone who wants an extra, temporary, travel partner. My thoughts are this: If you would like to be a part of this "project", just send me an email through The Casita Club Forums and I will start a list, trying to route him the best way possible in order to cut travel time so he can be passed-on to the next person on the list. Ideally, taking him camping would be the best (he loves camping in Casita Travel Trailers), but photographs in other situations around your area would be fine as well. So, on to the most important part...
Casita “Cub” is a project that can only be appreciated if you have access to a camera and a way to post pictures onto the forum. That means, if you have a digital camera you should not have any problems. If you have a film camera and a way to have the photographs scanned or put on a CD-ROM while being processed, than you should not have any problems either. I will be more than willing to help out in any way possible, including resizing pictures for posting, or just information on how to post them. If you do not have the ability to take pictures and get them up on the forum, please consider acquiring a disposable camera (they even make disposable digital cameras now) and having the pictures put on a CD-ROM or uploaded to a place on the net that you can access.
Also, in order for this to run smoothly, we must keep all lines of communication open while he is traveling and be considerate of the next person(s) in line to receive him by limiting his visit with you.
Ideally,
the most practical way to hand him off to the next person would be to meet,
either individually or at a rally.
If you will not be meeting the next person on the list, please ship him
to the next member using a delivery service that utilizes tracking
numbers and UPS Ground 3-5 day delivery at the minimum. The cost should be
$10.00 or less.
Please
do not simply send Casita “Cub” to the next person when his visit with you is
over. Instead e-mail them and copy me asking for confirmation that they will be
home and expecting him. If no response is made within 48 hours, that member will
be rescheduled and the next person will see him that much sooner. The last thing
we want is for Casita “Cub” to be sitting on somebody’s doorstep for a month
without anyone knowing. Please also
make sure all of his items are in the box with him. It’s tough to be a camper without
all his gear!
If
your turn is approaching and you know you won’t be available, please advise me
and I will reschedule you to a more convenient
time.
Casita
“Cub” is very special to us.
Debbie, Lilly and I went to the Build-A-Bear Workshop and handpicked him
especially to represent The Casita Club and be our traveling mascot. Please treat him with the utmost respect
and concern. You don’t need to wax
his bottom, but a little time spent caring for him and his well-being is greatly
appreciated!
